i'm a published photographer

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Relevant Magazine was doing a story on the relief effort following Hurricane Katrina and they used one of the pictures I took in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Now all I have to do is sit back and wait for the Pulitzer Prize Photo Committee to call me up.
Should be any day now.

Did you get the photo byline and everything? I had a bit of writing published once, but it was a private printing by another at-home dad like me, not by a major publisher or anything. How did they know about or acquire your photo?

I had emailed one of the editors telling them about my trip, and they emailed me back asking for two of my best pictures and any cool stories we had. They ended up using one picture, but they didn't use the stories I sent them. They didn't put my name along with the photo either unfortunately, that would've been cool. It's still kinda neat.
