It takes about 20 minutes or so to read through the series of posts in this story but I guarantee that it will be time well spent.

Tala seems to be the hottest thing to hit the blogosphere since...since...hmmm, can't really recall anything major on the blogosphere. Tala's the first hottest thing on the blogosphere!

Thank you Jimmy for posting this link. Natala is such a beautiful person and her story is real, raw and true to life. Chris and I went thru a tragic event like this with a young guy we were mentoring this past week. His name was Riley; he was 17 and such a broken, troubled person. Chris and I spent many endless hours just talking and listening to Riley and loving him right where he was in his life. Sadly too, he was experimenting with this new epidemic sweeping our country - kids are now tying ropes or fastening belts around their necks to cut off their air supply for a period of time. It produces a "natural high" without using drugs. The problem is that they pass out from the lack of air and die from strangulation. Riley died last Thursday doing just that. But we have learned so much from Riley, and with everything we went through with Riley, we know that there are other Rileys' out there that just want somebody to love them right where they are and to stop trying to give them a "quick fix" in life. Natala is right; we need to be the hands and feet of Jesus; to embrace the hurting and broken as He did, not to cram "Jesus saves" down their throat! They don't KNOW who He is unless we show His compassion, love and mercy in our everyday lives . . . Again, thank you for sharing.

Oh, man. I read this today. I can't really say what it did to my soul. Natala, thank you. I couldn't comment on your site for some reason, but I would have been #93.

One day, I want to be like Jesus again.
